Recycle your yoghurt pouches and caps with Fonterra
You can redeem your points at any time for a cash donation (cheque) to any non-profit or charitable organisation, including schools. Please keep in mind that there is a minimum of 1,000 points or $10 needed for a cash donation. Cash donations are transferred directly to the charity, twice a year in June and December. All cash donations requested between 1 May and 31 October will be disbursed in December. All cash donations requested between 1 November and 30 April will be disbursed in June.
For every 1kg of pouch waste you send in, your collection location will be credited with 100 TerraCycle points. Each TerraCycle point can be redeemed for a payment of $0.01 to the New Zealand school or charity of your choice.
There is no limit to how much you can recycle, but to earn points you must send over one kilogram. You can send in a maximum of 25 kg. In fact we encourage participants to send in as many as possible in one shipment as this helps to improve the environmental impact of the programme, so why not team up with your friends or neighbours and donate via your local childcare centre or children's playgroup or kindergarten.

Please don't photocopy your mailing label. Each label you download has a unique barcode that can only be accepted by our system once and is how we credit your account for the money you raise for charity.
Nope! You will be able to request pre-paid New Zealand Post shipping labels from our website through your online account. This will bring your Fonterra Pouch collections back to our factory to be recycled into TerraCycle products! You win and the environment wins!
No. Each individual and organisation, including schools or student groups at a school, can only have one Fonterra Pouch Brigade account. Any additional accounts will be suspended.
Yes. You can select, add or change your preferred charities via your account on the TerraCycle website. Simply log into your account at www.terracycle.co.nz and click on the "MY IMPACT" tab. To add a new preferred charity to your account, please select the "Manage Charities" link. Please note that during the cheque out process when redeeming points, you will also be given a chance to choose an existing charitable gift and update or change your preferred charities. You can also free phone 0800 474 016 or email us with the charity name, address and contact person via customersupport@terracycle.co.nz.
Sign into the TerraCycle website. Once you are signed in, click the Profile Tab and simply edit your account information.

Signing up is easy. Simply create an account on our website www.terracycle.co.nz. Then select the ‘Fonterra Pouch Brigade’ and follow the prompts. You will need to provide: 1) a contact person to oversee the Brigade at your location 2) a valid email address 3) a valid mailing address.

We welcome anyone from almost any organisation* in New Zealand to join in our recycling efforts! Why not get together with friends, your child’s playgroup or school to collect as much as possible. You can download a poster to advertise the scheme here. Remember, together we can help eliminate waste and help save millions of packages from entering our landfills.
*There are some practical considerations to keep in mind. For example, our programme is not designed to accommodate recycling centres.
You can send in Anchor Uno pouches, Fresh ‘n Fruity pouches or any brand of yoghurt pouches and caps.
To unsubscribe from the TerraCycle programme, please log into your account on the TerraCycle website. Select the “Collection Programmes” tab under your "Profile" and click on the cross in the top right hand corner of the programme you wish to unsubsribe from.
